To add a Google map to venue, you have to register a Google Map API key and add it to the WPCalendars Settings and the maps should work as intended. If you notice an error after adding the API key please contact our support team.
How to Register Google Maps API Key
Getting an API key is not complicated and just requires a couple of minutes of your time. In the process, you will need to create a billing account or use credentials of already existing one, which will be used for payment, in case you exceed your limits. So be prepared to have your billing data with you.
Please follow 3 steps described below to get your API key.
Step 1 – Create Your Project
Navigate to the Google Maps Platform and click on the Get Started button in the top right corner of the site.

To enable Google Maps platform, select the Maps, Routes and Places then click Continue button.

If this is your first time creating an API key, you will have to create a Project first.

Give your Project a name then click Next button.
Step 2 – Create Your Billing Account
Wait for the billing prompt and click Create Billing Account.

Select your country and click Continue.
Fill in the form with your contact data and payment information.

Click Start My Free Trial button to enable billing.
Please note that you will get up to 28 000 map requests per month and 40 000 direction calls per month, free of charge. You will only be billed when your usage exceeds your monthly $200 credit limit.
Once your billing has been set up, you can move onto creating your API Key.
Step 3 – Get Your API Key
Navigate to Google Cloud Console and enable Maps JavaScript API, Maps Static API Places API, and Geocoding API.

Click APIs & Services > Credentials to create your API key.

Click on the Create Credentials button on the Credentials window

Click on API Key on the next pop-up window.

Copy the generated API key to your clipboard.
