In WordPress 5.0, the classic content editor was replaced with a brand new block editor, known as Gutenberg. With Gutenberg, content is added in blocks of various types from the WordPress backend.
In this tutorial, we will catch up on how to use WPCalendars with Gutenberg.
To begin, you’ll need to create a new WordPress page or edit an existing one.
Once, you’ve opened the editor, you can add a new block by clicking the + (plus) icon in the upper left corner.
Once you’ve clicked this icon, a menu of block options will display. To locate the WPCalendars block, you can search “WPCalendars” or open the Widgets category. Then click the block named WPCalendars.
This will add the WPCalendars block to the editor screen. Next, go ahead and select the calendar you want from the Choose Calendar dropdown.
As soon as you choose the calendar, you can see it has been embedded into the page.
You can now publish the page and visit your website to see your calendar in action. Here’s a sample of what the calendar would look like on a live site.
