WPCalendars is a powerful and easy-to-use WordPress plugin to create events calendar. In this step by step guide, we will walk you through how to install WPCalendars on your WordPress site.
After purchasing WPCalendars, the next step is to install the plugin so you can start building calendar.
To get started, log into your WPCalendars account.
Next, click on the download link to save a zipped file of WPCalendars plugin to your computer.
Note: In some cases, this file may unzip as you download it, and instead appear as a regular folder. However, the folder must be zipped to use the WordPress plugin uploader. For instructions, please check out these instructions for Windows or Mac operating systems.
Once you have the zip file, navigate to the site where you want to install WPCalendars. Inside the admin dashboard, you will need to go to Plugins > Add New.
On the next screen, click the Upload Plugin button.
You will see the option to upload the plugin. Click on the Choose File button and select your WPCalendars zip file.
After your file is uploaded, click on the Install Now button.
WordPress will complete the installation process for you, but don’t activate the plugin just yet.
Deactivate WPCalendars Lite and Activate the Paid Version
Now that you have installed the paid version of WPCalendars, the next step is to open the Plugins page of your WordPress site.
If you have installed WPCalendars Lite on your WordPress site, you have to deactivate the WPCalendars Lite before activate the paid version.
Within the Plugins list, you will need to scroll to WPCalendars Lite and click the Deactivate option.
As soon as the Lite version is deactivated, you will need to click Activate on WPCalendars (the new, paid version).
Don’t worry, all of your existing calendars and settings will stay in place when you activate the paid version.
Delete WPCalendars Lite
Now that you have completed the installation of our paid version, you can delete WPCalendars Lite from your Plugins page. All calendars and settings will now be managed by the paid plugin, so no data will be lost by deleting the free version.
